Certificate of Deposit
A certificate of deposit is a money market instrument that is issued against an investor’s deposited funds, one of the many different kinds of investments available in India. For a predetermined amount of time, it is dematerialised and invested with the bank. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulates certificates of deposit, which are issued by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
